DUI
A 17-year-old male was arrested for driving under the influence after police were called to the scene of an accident 2:23 a.m. July 25 on Cedar Crest Boulevard at Little Lehigh Drive. The accident involved two vehicles. The juvenile was found to have a .19 percent blood alcohol content.
Theft
A resident in the 100 block of East Main Street reported two bicycles were stolen from a porch. The bicycles were valued at $800 and $400.
Attempted theft
On July 28 and 29, numerous residents in the Stryer section of Emmaus reported their unlocked vehicles had been entered overnight. Some reported items missing.
On Aug. 4 and 5, numerous residents in the area north of Harrison Street reported their unlocked vehicles had been entered overnight. Some reported items missing.
The Emmaus Police Department would like to remind residents to lock their vehicles and remove any valuables from the vehicles.
Simple assault and harassment
Lee Weida, 30, of South Third Street, Emmaus, was charged with simple assault and harassment after police were called to a residence for a domestic 10 p.m. July 27. Weida allegedly threw the victim to the ground and punched her about the head several times causing visible injuries. Weida was transported to Central Booking and committed to Lehigh County Prison in lieu of bail.
