Members of the Whitehall-Coplay School Board along with administrators from each building honored retirees at a luncheon recently. Board members and administrators spoke about each retiree's career accomplishments. Retirees include Gary Behr, retiring after 10 years as director of operations and transportation; Carl Keller, 37 years, technology integration coach; Ted Hess, 43 years, high school science teacher; Richard Bentz, 20 years, high school social studies teacher; Kathy Kester, 37 years, middle school Spanish teacher; Joanne Zimmel, 33 years, speech and language pathologist at Gockley; Terry Gannon, 26 years, Gockley first-grade teacher; Deborah Matson, 20 years, Gockley first-grade teacher; Gail Yudt, 24 years, district office secretary; Connie Beidleman, 17 years, part-time district office secretary; Ken Leewright, 16 years, middle school computer help desk technician; Irma Buchman, 7 years, high school cafeteria worker; Shirley Conner, 10 years, high school cafeteria worker; and Betty Cunningham, 9 years, middle school cafeteria worker.
