Theft by deception

Reported in the 5800 block of Burning Tree Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 4 p.m. July 9 and 9 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. July 10, a resident received telephone calls from an unknown actor alleging to be the resident's grandson-in-law. The caller stated he needed $1,400 because he was in jail in Mexico City and needed to post bail. The Lower Macungie Township resident transferred the money to the suspect. It was later discovered that the resident's grandson-in-law was not in Mexico during the time of this incident.

Burglary

Reported at Verizon Wireless, 6379 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 1:03 p.m. June 9, unknown actors forced entry into the store and took numerous items. The actors then fled through the south facing entrance of the store. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State police at 610-395-1438.

Simple assault

Ronald Richard Mumbauer, Jr., 40, of Allentown, was charged with two counts of simple assault and one count of harassment after he allegedly stabbed with scissors a Tamaqua man, 29, in the 1500 block of Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:17 a.m. June 28.

Harassment

Heather Nicole Ramirez, 30, of Trexlertown, was charged with harassment after she allegedly got into an argument with a Trexlertown man, no age given, in the 6700 block of Lower Macungie Township 3:49 a.m. July 9. Ramirez allegedly struck the man several times with her fist, put her arm around his head and pushed the man into a wall, damaging the wall.

Drug possession

Robert George Anthony Clair, 29, and Maurice Samuel Garlington, 29, both of Teaneck, NJ, were charged with possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy, simple possession and possession of a small amount of marijuna after a traffic stop on westbound Interstate 78 at mile marker 61.3, Upper Saucon Township, 2:10 a.m. June 4. Clair allegedly was driving and Garlington allegedly was a passenger in the vehicle. Police impounded the vehicle, got a warrant, searched the vehicle and allegedly found approximately 50 grams of cocaine and a small amount of marijuana.

DUI

Eric Turney, 33, of Quakertown, was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Krocks Road at Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 12:03 a.m. June 21. Turney allegedly showed signs of impairmment during the traffic stop.

Noe Martinez-Gomez, 34, of Allentown, was arrested and arraigned for suspicion of driving under the influence after allegedly showing signs of intoxication during a traffic stop on Hamilton Boulevard near Kessler Road, Lower Macungie Township, June 8.

Retail theft

George Wayne Haas, 40, of Trexlertown, was charged with retail theft after he allegedly took multiple miscellaneous items, valued at $162.66, from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:40 p.m. June 18. Haas allegedly put the items into his pockets and exited the store.

Todd Allen Heiserman, 43, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft after he allegedly left Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, with approximately $464 in merchandise without paying for the items about 12:37 a.m. June 16. Heiserman allegedly was chased in the store parking lot by a night manager. Heiserman allegedly fled on foot in an unknown direction, leaving his shopping cart full of merchandise in the store parking lot. Police later located and arrested Heiserman on an outstanding warrant out of Lehigh County Probation. Charges for retail theft were filed and Heiserman was arraigned while in Lehigh County Prison.

Constance Marie Eddy, 52, of Topton, was charged with retail theft after loss prevention personnel at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, observed Eddy allegedly take various items, valued at $53.46, and attempt to leave the store without paying for the items at approximately 2:34 p.m. June 17. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.

Susan Lorraine Weller, 47, of Allentown, was cited for retail theft after she allegedly took several items from shelves at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:15 p.m. June 16, paid for some of the items, did not pay for the rest of the items and tried to leave the store.

Gloria Mercedes Fuentes, 32, of Trexlertown, and a female, 16, of Lower Macungie Township, were charged with retail theft after loss prevention personnel observed them allegedly take items valued at $198.55 and conceal the items on their person and in a purse at Kohl's department store, 6900 Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 2:10 p.m. June 18. Fuentes and the teenager were then observed allegedly leaving the store without paying for the items. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.

Scott Hunter, no age given, of Upper Macungie Township, was cited for retail theft after loss prevention personnel observed Hunter allegedly taking DVDs, removing the discs from the cases and putting the discs into his pants at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 8:15 p.m. June 28. Hunter then allegedly went through a self-checkout lane at the store, paid for one item and tried to leave the store without paying for the DVDs and a cell phone case. Hunter allegedly ran to his car and fled when confronted by loss prevention personnel.

Brock Arner, no age given, of Lehighton, was charged with retail theft at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, after he allegedly placed an Airsoft pistol down his pants and left the store without paying for the item 12:27 p.m. July 10. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.

Reported in the 5000 block of Shepherd Hills Drive, Lower Macungie Township, motorcycle stolen from a backyard between June 6 and 8.

Burglary

Reported at East Penn Storage, 3801 Allen Street, Upper Milford Township, overnight June 25, unknown actors cut the fence, cut four storage lockers open and took various items before fleeing the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police - Fogelsville at 610-395-1438.

Criminal mischief

Reported in the 4000 block of Meadowview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, a mailbox ws damaged with an unknown object between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. June 28.

Reported in the 5400 block of Jasper Road, Lower Macungie Township, four tires were flattened on a parked vehicle between 8:30 p.m. June 25 and 6:27 p.m. June 28.

Reported in the 5300 block of Beaumont Lane, Lower Macungie Township, a rear window of a parked vehicle was smashed sometime overnight June 28.

Reported at Walmart,1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, green tea was dumped on a parked vehicle between 5 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. June 24.

Reported in the 800 block of Cold Spring Road, Lower Macungie Township, a rear passenger window was damaged overnight May 12.

Reported in the 5300 block of Bradford Lane, Lower Macungie Township, a window screen was damaged during a verbal altercation 1:15 a.m. June 5.

Theft from vehicle

Reported in the 1100 block of Treeline Drive, Lower Macungie Township, overnight July 4, items were taken from a unlocked vehicle.

Reported in the 3000 block of Vista Drive, Lower Macungie Township, a laptop and a wallet were taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway overnight July 1. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police - Fogelsville at 610-395-1438.
