Lehigh Valley SCORE has relocated its Center for Small Business Mentoring to the campus of Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC), Schnecksville, North Whitehall Township.
According to Glen Cheney, Chair, Lehigh Valley SCORE, "Our new mentoring center at LCCC will provide both improved counseling space to serve the Lehigh Valley's small business entrepreneurs and an office to manage service delivery. There will also be opportunities for synergies with faculty and students in LCCC's Business Enterprise Center."
SCORE's primary products and services are free business mentoring either face to face or by e-mail, as well as low-cost workshops, roundtables and seminars.
In the 2012 fiscal year, Lehigh Valley SCORE's 40 volunteers provided a combined total of 1,160 mentoring sessions and workshop attendances to Lehigh Valley entrepreneurs who created 47 new businesses and grew top line revenues by more than $3.6 million.
The National SCORE organization was formed in 1964 as a nonprofit volunteer resource partner of the Small Business Administration. The Lehigh Valley SCORE chapter, serving Lehigh, Northampton and Carbon counties, was started the following year.
