Coordinated Health has announced that Joohyun Ro was named its Chief Information Officer.

Ro is responsible for reengineering Coordinated Health's information services teams to support a growing IT infrastructure, software applications and project implementations. He will also manage the company's cross-functional IT, Applications, Business Intelligence and Risk Management departments.

Prior to joining Coordinated Health, Ro served as the head of a global IT department. Ro has extensive information technology background in several industries, including aerospace, packaged foods, consulting and electronics.

"The health industry is experiencing a renaissance as the adoption of electronic health records allows patients greater control over their health choices," Ro said. "I am excited to join such an influential and dynamic company during this era of change."

Coordinated Health CEO and President, Dr. Emil DiIorio, said, "We are excited to have Joohyun join our management team as CIO. His extensive technology background from industries outside healthcare will be an asset as we take the lead on the reforms the federal government is demanding of healthcare."

Ro received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Operations Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
