Justin Merwarth, 22, of Orefield, was arrested for driving under the influence after a traffic stop for allegedly driving erratically on Main Street in the borough 2:30 a.m. June 14.

Retail theft

Reported at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Wine and Spirits store in the 1300 block of Chestnut Street, 11:30 a.m. June 12, three young males entered the store and, while two of the males distracted store clerks, one male stole a $45 bottle of Crown Royal Reserve whiskey. The three males were seen fleeing in a late model silver Cadillac.

Theft

Reported in the 600 block of Chestnut Street overnight June 11, one BMX-style bicycle, valued at $100, and a men's ten-speed bicycle, valued at $40, were taken from a garage.

Reported in the 100 block of North Fourth Street overnight June 13, an unknown actor took a bicycle from the rear yard.

Reported at Scenic View Landscaping, 127 E. Main St., unknown actors stole five five-gallon containers of gasoline, an $80 value, between June 8 and June 12.
