August nuptials

Carl and Carol Klinetob of Macungie announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth, to Kevin Matthew Lowe, son of Jim and Carol Lowe of Ithaca, N.Y.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Emmaus High School. She received undergraduate degrees in engineering science and German, and a Master's degree in architectural engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.

She is a research assistant at the Sustainability Institute at Penn State.

Her fiance graduated from Ithaca High School. He received an undergraduate degree in religious studies from Cornell University.

He received a Master's degree in early Christian history from Drew University in New Jersey, and a Master's degree in United States history from The Pennsylvania State University.

He is a doctoral candidate in the history department at The Pennsylvania State University.

He is also a jazz drummer.

An August wedding is planned in Ithaca.
