The Lehigh County Conservation District and Wildlands Conservancy hosted the 25th annual Lehigh County High School Envirothon recently at the Pool Wildlife Sanctuary in Emmaus. The Envirothon is a competitive environmental education program conducted at the local, state and national levels for high school students. This event culminates a year of environmental studies for the teams of five students. The teams rotate through five testing stations in the areas of aquatics, soils, forestry, wildlife and grazing livestock for improved herd health and land management. The teams took a written test at each station and the highest total score determined the winning team.
