To the Editor:
Recently I stopped at McDonald's in Emmaus for breakfast and while sitting there a huge group of young people came in and by their dress I guessed they were on their way to the Jersey shore.
Many of the girls had extreme short shorts so I further assumed their parents had left for work prior to the girls; boys dressed reasonably well and since they were carrying books I readjusted my thinking and again assumed they were students.
Suddenly eight males sat at the next table which had a capacity for four and carried on a conversation filled with the "F" word; I asked if they spoke that way at home and received no answer. They left leaving a mess. I later learned they were on a break from taking ninth grade tests at the high school? I guess that is why I am from the "Greatest Generation."
