Aggravated assault
Jason Powell, 37, of Emmaus, was arrested for aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of instruments of crime and corruption of minors; and a 17-year-old juvenile, no address given, was arrested for aggravated assault, simple assault and possession of instruments of crime after police responded to an alleged fight at approximately 11 p.m. June 7 in the 500 block of North Street and found an 18-year-old juvenile and a 17-year-old juvenile who had been hurt. Both were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment of their injuries.
DUI
Shannah Janson, 22, of Allentown, was charged with driving under the influence, text based communications and driving without a license after police were called to a traffic accident in the 300 block of Main Street 2:04 a.m. May 26. Janson allegedly admitted to reading a text while driving, striking two parked cars.
Robert Schnierlein Jr., 73, of Emmaus, was arrested for driving under the influence after a driver reported Schnierlein's alleged erratic driving on Chestnut Street 7 p.m. June 2.
Disorderly conduct
Mark Schwartz, 37, of Emmaus, was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after Schwartz allegedly was found passed out in the weeds along the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks noon May 29.
Dmitri Kibrik, 53, of Emmaus, was cited for disorderly conduct and harassment after Kibrik allegedly was involved in an altercation with a 16-year-old juvenile male at 8 p.m. June 5 at Jefferson Elementary School in the borough.
Attempted burglary
Reported by the Catholic War Veterans Association, 725 Furnace St., unknown actors pried open a window screen overnight June 7.
Robbery
Reported by a 27-year-old Upper Milford Township man who was walking near Furnace Dam Park, South 10th Street, about 2:45 a.m. May 26 when he was struck on the head from behind, knocking him to the ground and unconscious. The man awoke to an actor kicking him and going through his pockets. The actor, who is known to the man, stole a necklace. The investigation is continuing.
