Theft

Jesse Weiss, 22, of North Third Street, Emmaus, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property after he allegedly admitted to taking an air conditioner, washer and dryer from the rear of David's Appliance store, 314 Main St., Emmaus, overnight May 24. An employee of the appliance store later spotted the appliances in the back of a parked pickup truck. Weiss, was interviewed by police and allegedly admitted to the theft.

Reported by Iobst Tire and Auto Center, 464 State Ave., unknown actors broke into a soda vending machine and stole $20 in quarters overnight May 16.

Reported by a resident in the 700 block of Chestnut St., Emmaus, unknown actors took a lawn mower valued at $200 from the yard 9:30 a.m. May 19.

DUI

Peter Pham, 42, of Allentown, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop at 1:40 a.m. May 17. Pham was stopped for alleged erratic driving on Cedar Crest Boulevard.

Burglary

Reported at a vacant house on South 10th Street 10 a.m. May 17, unknown actors pried open a door but were scared away when a neighbor passed the house. The actors were driving an older model white Dodge pickup truck with a ladder rack on top.
