To the Editor:
Take a moment and think of your house. Think of the endless hallways that lead to room upon room. Think of the rooms which include so many items it would take years to count them. Think of all the memories that have taken place in that house, and all the memories to come. Pretty easy right? Well, the task isn't so easy for the residents of Moore, Okla., who recently received a tornado that took away thousands of people's houses.
The death rate is up to 24 people, 10 of the people being children. Thousands of people are lost with no belongings or even shelter. This storm has coined the term "storm of storms" and its 2-mile wide path damaged over 13,000 houses and counting. The storm has reached damage rates of $2 billion, and the people of Oklahoma have little to no money left.
The storm has left the country in shock. Constant newscasts and videos of the damage have taken the world aback and have led many to donate to the cause. Anyone can text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate to the disaster fund. The storm in Oklahoma has torn apart not only houses, but the lives of many innocent individuals.
