To the Editor:
As you may have heard, we prevailed in our re-election effort in the Lower Macungie Township Commissioner race.
I am thrilled and humbled to have earned the continued trust and support of our residents. I worked extremely hard throughout the campaign having spent countless hours speaking with thousands of residents at their homes. But I could not have earned the victory without the strong support of friends and family, many of whom went above and beyond on my behalf.
We started this campaign working hard to build broad support early on. I wanted residents to know their support and trust in me is critically important and something I do not take for granted. The results show our hard work paid off.
Our positive message of delivering a record of results – adopting responsible budget, paying down debt, elevating the discussion on Smart Growth and standing up for our community – clearly resonated with voters.
I want to sincerely thank all of my family, friends, volunteers and supporters who helped make this victory possible. I also want to congratulate Ron Beitler and Brian Higgins on their successful election in this contest.
Additionally, I want to thank Ron Eichenberg and Roger Reis for their service to our community. Despite their loss, their dedication to Lower Macungie does not go unnoticed. Finally, I want to especially thank the residents who took time out of their day to exercise their civic duty by voting in this important election.
It is truly an honor and privilege to serve our community. I look forward to our community's continued support and working just as hard to carry this positive momentum into the Nov. 5 general election.
Ryan T. Conrad
