With only 28 days left in the school year, Lehigh Valley Christian High School is now wrapping up sports, school and extracurricular activities.
Over the past two weeks students have been participating in Advanced Placement tests in numerous subjects including language, literature, biology, chemistry, history and calculus.
Seniors will be taking all of their class finals within the next week and will graduate June 7.
The annual Spring Sling, a competition between our physics students to build the best catapult or trebuchet, is occurring this morning, Thursday, May 16, at the Catasauqua Park.
Senior Servant Day is Friday, May 17, and the LVCHS Junior-Senior Banquet is set for Saturday, May 18, at The Vintage in Easton.
Yearbooks will be distributed Monday, May 20. Class trips are set for the last week of May and final exams are scheduled for the first week of June.
The last day of school, which includes our annual Awards Convocation, will be Friday, June 7.

Spring sports are coming to a close.
The LVCHS track team has done a tremendous job and has several relay teams and students competing in PIAA districts, which conclude today. Members of the team have broken school records 18 different times this season!
The boys baseball team was eliminated in the first round of the ACCAC playoffs, and still has a PIAA district XI playoff game coming up later this month.
The spring athletic awards event, at which the senior male and female athlete awards will be announced, is scheduled for Thursday, May 23.

For the first time in LVCHS history, students will be performing in the opening number of the Freddy Awards program at the State Theater in Easton May 23.
Students who starred in this year's production of "Annie" – Abby Parnell (Miss Hannigan), Lizzie Ruppert (Annie), Matt Weaver (Bert Healey & FDR) and Josh Brennan (Daddy Warbucks)– were invited to participate.
This is an incredible reward for all the hard work.

The choir concert at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church Saturday, May 4 was a wonderful event. Congratulations to those involved with the music program, led by Sharon Herbert.
The Donna Draft Parris Memorial Music Scholarship winners were announced during the concert as well. Congratulations to Rachel Prusak ($1,000), Adeline Guthrie ($500), Briana Westover ($500) and Hannah Schoepple ($500).

Elections for student council for the 2013-14 school year just occurred. Congratulations to the winners, Reghan O'Brien (president), Seth Lunger (vice president), Josh Kochsmeier (treasurer) and Mercy Jacobs (secretary).

Applications for student chaplain are now being accepted.
Class officer elections for next year will be held on Thursday, May 23.
