Cruelty to animals
Stavros S. Kiprislis, no address given, will be charged with cruelty to animals after he allegedly allowed steer and goats to freely roam onto Chestnut Street in the area of Beck Road, Upper Milford Township, on multiple dates and times. The animals also allegedly roamed onto neighbors' property. Charges will be filed in district court.
Controlled
substance
Nolen Fritzinger, of Schnecksville, was stopped by police on Keckman Lane at East Rock Road, Salisbury Township, April 26, and a small amount of marijuana allegedly was found in the vehicle. Charges to be filed.
Edwin Luis Soto of Springfield, Mass., was charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after police allegedly uncovered approximately 178 grams of marijuana and packing materials during the search of a car in which Soto was a passenger 4:04 a.m. April 28 on Interstate 78 in the area of mile marker 62.2, Upper Saucon Township.
Harassment
A 19-year-old woman, of Emmaus, reported a 23-year-old man, also of Emmaus, slapped her twice in the head in the 5100 block of North Vera Cruz Road, Upper Milford Township, 9:41 p.m. April 30. The investigation continues.
Justin E. Schurawlow, 30, of Lower Macungie Township, was charged with harassment after he allegedly punched a 33-year-old man in the arm during an argument 6 p.m. May 3 on State Route 29 at State Route 100, Upper Milford Township. Charges were filed at District Court 31-2-03.
Public drunkenness
A Macungie woman, no age given, is accused of public drunkenness after she allegedly fell in the 3100 block of Sequoia Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 5:55 p.m. May 5,, and injured her ankle and head.
Theft by deception
A 28-year-old Lower Macungie man reported he received an email that appeared to be from the Federal Bureau of Investigation accusing him of having child pornography on his computer May 2. The email stated if he paid a $300 fine through a Green Dot Money Card prepaid card, he would not be charged with the offense. The man withdrew $300 from his bank and put the money on the prepaid card purchsed from Walmart. He then entered the prepaid card number into the email and his computer remained disabled. The email is fraudulent and anyone that receives this email is asked to not pay the $300 and report it to the Internet Crime Complaint Center through IC3.GOV.
