A 39-year-old Macungie man is charged with multiple counts of sexually assaulting a male juvenile at an Upper Nazareth Township school where he worked.
Shawn William Salevsky of the 1500 block of Kennington Lane was arraigned last week before District Justice John C. Capobianco in Nazareth.
Charges against Salevsky include six counts each of corruption of minors and recklessly endangering another person; five counts of indecent assault of a person less than 16 years of age; three counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse; and sexual assault.
According to court documents, charges stemmed from alleged incidents happening between Jan. 1, 2011 to March 15 of this year. A juvenile accused Salevsky of alleged inappropriate touching and fondling, pulling the juvenile's head to his lap, and following the juvenile into a bathroom at Nazareth Middle School, 94 Friedenstahl Ave. The affidavit of probable cause in the case details alleged incidents occuring in the auditorium and in the theater/drama room at the school.
The juvenile stated that Salevsky would allegedly have the door locked to the theater/drama room and be alone with the student. The juvenile also stated Salvesky would allegedly have him stay after school and help with upcoming plays. Law enforcement officials interviewed the juvenile last month after he talked to another student about how Salvesky allegedly would treat him during theater and drama class.
Salevsky was arrested by Upper Nazareth Township police and was unable to post a $75,000 bail.
