On Sunday, April 28, the Emmaus Police Department received an email from an East Penn parent, who learned through a discussion with their child that rumors were circulating at Emmaus High School in relationship to a school shooting to occur April 30. The Emmaus Police Department immediately notified school officials and an investigation was conducted and is ongoing. Precautionary measures were implemented both by the school district, the Emmaus Police Department and the Pennsylvania State Police.
