If you enjoy gardening and volunteer work, now is the time to apply to become a Penn State master gardener.
The Penn State Master Gardener program in Lehigh and Northampton counties will be training a new class of volunteers this fall.
The new training program will begin the week of Aug. 23 and continue 2:30-5:30 p.m. each Wednesday through mid-December.
Classes will be split between the Lehigh and Northampton County Extension offices in Allentown and Nazareth.
An information session will be held 6-9 p.m. May 20 at Seidersville Hall in the Lower Saucon Township Municipal Complex in Bethlehem.
During this meeting, an overview of Penn State Extension and the master gardener program will be presented.
Those interested in this volunteer program should call 610-391-9840 to receive additional information or visit the web at www.extension.psu.edu.
