How fitting it is, following the April 15 Boston Marathon bombings by two brothers with alleged ties to violent Muslim extremists, that the final piece of One World Trade Center, the spire, was scheduled to be lifted in place on Monday.
Unfortunately, high winds and bad weather forced a temporary delay.
Installation of the 408-foot, 800-ton spire began last December with pieces made in New Jersey and Canada.
This triumphant event was also set to take place just a few days after a piece of landing gear from one of the planes used on 9/11 to murder more than 2,600 people in the Twin Towers was found wedged between two buildings, just a few blocks from Ground Zero by surveyor Frank Van Brunt.
Ironically, Van Brunt was there to measure three properties, from 43 to 51 Park Place, for Sharif El-Gamal, the developer of the proposed mosque and Islamic community center.
Cosmic Karma comes home to roost for those who think they can destroy America and the principles upon which this country was founded.
Murder three innocents and maim dozens more in Boston, and we will place the final part to what will soon be the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere.
Erect a mosque just blocks from Ground Zero, (a slap in the face to family members of those murdered 9/11) and a piece of evidence from their murderous attacks is found by the developer's surveyor.
The New York Medical Examiner's office is now searching for human remains at the site.
When the spire and a steel beacon are finally placed, the building will reach a symbolic 1,776 feet high.
The Dec. 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor did not destroy America.
The turmoil created by protestors of the unpopular and failed war in Vietnam did not destroy America.
The first attack on the World Trade Center, on Feb. 26, 1993, did not destroy America, and neither will those with designs on bringing this country to its knees.
