Wayne F. Weida, 89, of Emmaus, died April 26, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township after a short illness. He was the husband of Gloria J. (Fasching) Weida. They were married for 63 years. He was the son of the late Stanley and Bertha (Frey) Weida.
He was co-owner of Weida's Charcoal Drive-In in Wescosville for 33 years with his brothers, Donald and Amos, until 1986.
He served his country with honor in the CB1 Theater during World War II as a pilot in the Army Air Corps with a rank of first lieutenant.
He was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church.
He is survived by his wife; son, Roger; daughters, Renae and her husband Dan Stonehouse, Rebecca and husband Richard Werner; grandchildren, Jessica, Ryan Kunsman, Emily Barndt, and Jason; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Kylie and Vera.
Contributions may be made in his name to the Emmaus Public Library, 11 E. Main St., Emmaus, 18049, or to the church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown, 18103.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
