State Police Troop M Bethlehem will be conducting its 29th Camp Cadet June 16-21 at Camp Fowler, Orefield.
This year 90 cadets will be selected to experience what it takes to become a law enforcement officer.
To be eligible for Camp Cadet, a boy or girl must be at least 12 years old but not older than 14 by May 1; be a resident of either Lehigh or Northampton counties; and must be in good physical condition.
The camp, funded by donations from area police, civic, private citizens and business groups is designed to bring a better understanding to youth, about the law enforcement profession while living in an atmosphere of an actual State Police Training Academy.
There will be blocks of instruction and demonstrations presented by Pennsylvania State Police, firearms instructors, forensic services unit, special emergency response team, Emmaus Police Department K-9 units, patrol troopers and the aviation unit (helicopter).
