The ninth annual Nicholas Caldarelli Memorial 5K will be held May 5 in the Lehigh Parkway.
Nicholas Caldarelli was a Central Catholic graduate tragically killed by a drunk driver in 2003.
In his honor, the Nicholas Caldarelli Memorial Fund serves to raise awareness of the dangers of drunk driving. The fund also awards two scholarships to Central Catholic students, one for an incoming freshman and another for a current senior. There is a race-day registration fee.
Runners will gather between 8 and 8:30 a.m. near the iron bridge in the Lehigh Parkway. All donations to the fund are greatly appreciated.
For information regarding the race, visit the school's website at acchs.info or contact the head coordinator, Sophia Waldron, at sophmwaldron@gmail.com.
