April 29 is Spring Picture Day at Sheckler Elementary School. Be sure to wear your smile.

The Sheckler monthly Home and School meeting will be held on May 1 at 7 p.m. in the school's library. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend. Topics to be discussed are upcoming field trips, teacher appreciation and planned events for students.

Sheckler fourth-grade students are preparing for their canal trip, which ties into their social studies curriculum. Students in Mrs. Elek's, Mrs. Santoroski's and Life Skills classes will be going on May 1. Students in Mr. Alley's, Mr. Burker's and Mr. Wilson's classes go on May 2.

The trips are weather permitting. Excessive rain would cause a trip to be cancelled.
