Andrew Acevedo was among the 19 area students to win gold medals at the the Pennsylvania SkillsUSA Championships April 3-5.

Acevedo, a Northampton Area High School and Bethlehem Area Vo-Tech student, won his award in job skill demonstration.

As a gold medal winner, he will represent Pennsylvania at the National Leadership & Skills Conference in Kansas City, Mo. June 23-29.
