STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q: What grade are you in?

A: I am in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.

Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?

A: I have had many favorite subjects throughout my time at Emmaus High School, but my favorite this year is psychology because I had a great teacher, Mr. Parish, and I find the human mind fascinating.

Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A: I am an Eagle Scout from Troop 71. I compete on EHS's Marine Corps Fitness team and our team won first place in nationals, which is held in San Diego, Calif.

Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A: I take guitar and piano lessons at Emmaus Lessons Center, I am a Junior Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 71, I am on the EHS fitness team, I volunteer at my church in the children's ministry and I am actively involved in my youth group.

Q: What is your next goal after high school?

A: I will be attending Kings College in the fall, studying to be a physician's assistant.

Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?

A: Reaching the rank of Eagle Scout was my biggest challenge because it takes dedication and only five percent of all Boy Scouts reach this rank.

Q: What do you want to be remembered for?

A: I want to be remembered for keeping my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and trying to live my life by biblical principles.

Q: Who is in your family?

A: I live in Lower Macungie with my parents Maryann and John, my brother Michael, my sister Stacey and our dog Bingo.

Q: Do you have someone you look up to?

A: I look up to my father, my Youth Pastor Brian Reichenbach and my previous Youth Pastor Josh Little.

Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?

A: Take a stand for what you believe in, make wise choices and don't just follow the crowd. Live your life for tomorrow and not just today because you can live life like there's no tomorrow, but tomorrow is still there when you wake up, filled with either consequences or rewards.
