State police

Retail theft

A white male was observed by loss prevention leaving Walmart, 1091 Millcreek Road, Lower Macungie Township 4:31 p.m. March 13 with merchandise he had not paid for. The accused placed various items of merchandise into a shopping cart and subsequently left the store without paying for the merchandise. The investigation continues.

A 15-year-old female attempted to leave Walmart, 1091 Millcreek Road, Lower Macungie Township, without paying for clothing, makeup and jewelry 4:36 p.m. April 7.

Theft

A representative of Deiter Brothers reported the theft of a 120-gallon propane tank from the 8300 block of Hensingerville Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:46 p.m. April 5. The propane tank is white with a green sticker "Greenworks." The tank is marked with serial number 933982. Anyone with information pertaining to this investigation is asked to call the state police at 610-395-1438.

Criminal mischief

An unknown actor entered a property in the 7700 block of Crane Crossing, Lower Macungie Township, April 4 and cut down a rope swing from a backyard tire swing. The actor fled the area on foot in an unknown direction. Anyone with information is requested to contact the state police at 610-395-1438.

Theft by unlawful taking

An unknown person removed several items belonging to a resident in the 5600 block of Vera Cruz Road, Upper Milford Township, between Nov. 26, 2012 and March 10. All items were in the resident's yard. The investigation continues.

DUI-crash

Joshua Paul Knepper, of Hampton, Va., was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol 3:21 a.m. April 7 as a result of a minor traffic stop. Knepper was allegedly the operator of a vehicle disabled in the median of Interstate 78 West in Upper Saucon Township. He allegedly struck a mile marker sign with his driver side mirror. Charges are to be filed in District Court 31-3-03.

Access device fraud

A victim in the 5000 block of Vera Cruz Road, Upper Milford Township, reported 2:10 p.m. April 7, debit card information was stolen and money was transferred out of the victim's account.

Theft from a motor vehicle

Sometime between 6 p.m. April 5 and 8 a.m. April 8, an unknown actor entered an unlocked 1989 GMC box truck parked in the 8200 block of Spring Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, and removed various equipment and tools. The total loss of equipment is $2,650.

Scattering rubbish

Brendan Trapp, 22, of Emmaus, allegedly deposited several pizza boxes, five bags of household garbage, a dresser cabinet and a gerbil cage at Victory Valley Camp, 7472 Sigmund Road, Upper Milford Township 10:30 p.m. April 7. Evidence at the scene led the state police to Trapp where he was subsequently arrested for scattering rubbish.
