Buckman Iron named business of the month
Want to get rid of that scrap metal?
Then, consider Buckman Iron & Metal Inc., Coplay, which has served the scrap metal recycling needs of the greater Lehigh Valley for more than 100 years.
With that type of longevity, it's no wonder, then, why the business has received the distinction of Business of the Month by the Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce.
Located at 3980 Portland Street, the family-owned business provides a full range of comprehensive scrap management services and technically advanced scrap handling equipment to all types of industrial accounts throughout the Eastern Pennsylvania.
Buckman Iron & Metal collects ferrous and non-ferrous scrap from the metal working industry, metal service centers and other sources by providing in-plant accumulation and retrieval bins and/or truck containers at their facilities, which are then transported to the processing facility. The company also accepts junk cars and household scrap metal from the public, such as computers, laptops, cell phones, keyboards, etc.
Prices paid for scrap metals on a delivered basis are determined primarily by market demand and the composition, quality, size and weight of the materials.
Terry Buckman is president of the business.
"Doing business with us means doing business with the very best," Buckman said. "Our substantial investment in processing equipment, and an extensive truck fleet ensures the highest level of service.
"Our mission is to serve customers and produce high-quality product safely."
Buckman reiterated safety is key.
"If we cannot do it safely, we will not do it at all," he said. "We want to be your one stop facility for all your scrap metal recycling."
