DUI
Shane O'Connor, 22, of Pt. Pleasant, N.J., was taken into custody for DUI on Interstate 78 westbound, Salisbury Township, 3:59 a.m. April 4. O'Connor was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.
Judd Schneider, 51, of Slatington, was allegedly under the influence of alcohol during a crash occurring in the 4900 block of Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:14 p.m. April 4. Schneider's vehicle struck a tree on the side of the road. He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital for medical treatment.
Amanda LaTerra, 33, of Emmaus, was arrested for DUI in the 4300 block of Mill Road, Upper Milford Township, 11:39 p.m. April 4. LaTerra was stopped for multiple traffic violations and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.
Josh Baker, 28, of Emmaus, was charged with DUI on Interstate 78 westbound at Summit Lawn, Salisbury Township, 2:30 a.m. April 5. Baker was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol during a traffic stop.
Theft
An unknown actor stole a green colored money holder containing $400 from an office at Dunkin Donuts, 4030 Chestnut St., Upper Milford Township, between April 1 and April 4.
An unknown actor stole a yellow surveyor, GPS unit and tripod from Ruth Road at Spring Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:45 p.m. April 2. The equipment was owned by The Pidcock Company.
Retail theft
Rebecca Wetzel, 31, of Alburtis, allegedly attempted to steal costume jewelry, baby formula and pain reliever from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:21 p.m. March 23. The total value of the items was $159.57. The investigation is ongoing.
Michael Kutish, 28, of Macungie was charged with retail theft at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:50 a.m. April 1. Kutish allegedly attempted to carry away merchandise which he did not pay for.
Bronson Oswald, 18, of Mertztown, allegedly attempted to steal various items from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:30 p.m. April 1. The investigation is ongoing.
Kristina Fenstermaker, 31, of Hellertown, was charged with retail theft at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:20 p.m. April 3. Fenstermaker allegedly stole $79 worth of merchandise.
Theft by deception
Trudi Schwartz, 53, of Breinigsville, was charged with theft by deception at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:47 p.m. March 14. Schwartz allegedly attempted to return items which were never purchased to obtain a gift card.
Fraud
An unknown actor used a Macungie resident's debit card to make several fraudulent online purchases March 16 and 17.
An unknown actor used a Lower Macungie resident's social security number to fraudulently file an income tax return 2 p.m. March 25.
An unknown actor stole an Allentown resident's wallet out of a parking lot at 1042 Mill Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 9:30 and 10 a.m. March 17. The actor stole $180 in cash, a credit card and other various items. The credit card was used to make multiple purchases in Lehighton.
