RELAY FOR LIFE

Relay For Life of Macungie will hold its final regular meeting for participants April 11 at the Macungie Institute on Main Street. The planning committee meets 6:15 p.m. and teams/participants meet 7 to 8 p.m.

Relay For Life of Macungie's main spring event will be held 4 p.m. May 3 to 4 p.m. May 4. This year's theme is a carnival and there will be activities at this 24-hour event for all ages, including two moon bounces, a balloon-animal clown, a caricature artist, a magician and carnival games.

Relay For Life is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to raising funds for American Cancer Society for its cancer education, programs, advocacy and research. Macungie Relay is introducing the Deborah Spess 5K Memorial Race/Walk, to be held the morning of May 4 as part of the Relay's main 24-hour event. Preferred registration date is by April 20 to guarantee event shirt and early registration fee. The 5K route begins at Macungie Memorial Park.
