The middle school and Zephyr Elementary are collecting for the upcoming Multiple Schlerosis Walk-athon at Coca-Cola Park in May.
MS footprints are on sale to support Team Holmes (Whitehall-Coplay Middle School teacher) in the MS walk! They can be purchased from Mr. Holmes, Mrs. Brownback, Mr. Piston or Mr. Sommer at the middle school. The Zephyr Building will accept donations in the office.
All the footprints will be displayed.
Report cards: April 10 is the day elementary students will receive report cards.
The fourth marking period has begun.
Night at The Races The American Club in Coplay is hosting the Whitehall boys basketball team's third annual "At the Races."
It is set for April 5 with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Races begin at 7 p.m.
The ticket price includes refreshments. Proceeds benefit the team.

School board meeting: The public is invited to the next school board meeting 7 p.m. Monday, April 8, in the administration offices.
Mark your calendars and plan to attend.
Book Fair: Barnes and Noble will host a Zephyr Elementary book fair 6-8 p.m. April 18.
Activities will include "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?" along with a Surprise Storytime with secret guest readers, a scavenger hunt race and raffles. The classroom with the most in attendance that evening will win a cookie party.
Those who cannot attend can visit bn.com/bookfairs April 18-23 to support the school. Enter the book fair ID 11054665 at the final checkout.
PTO meeting: The PTO meets 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at Zephyr Elementary. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
Open house: The annual middle school Parents Night is scheduled for 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25.
It will follow an open house format with parents moving through the building and visiting individual teachers as they become available.
Parents Night provides a time for teachers and parents to meet before the end-of-the-school-year rush begins. Numerous activities and student work will be on display throughout the building.
The PTO will offer a spirit sale, hot dog sales and a book fair. Tickets for the end-of-the-year dance will also be available.
"Oliver!" This year, the Whitehall High School theatre will be presenting Lionel Bart's masterpiece "Oliver!"
Based off Dickens' famous novel, "Oliver Twist," this show follows the young orphan, Oliver, as he escapes the cruel world of an orphanage and finds a new home in the underworld of Fagin's pickpockets before ending up with a wealthy British family.
Performances are scheduled for April 11-14.
Show times are 7:30 p.m. April 11-13 and 2 p.m. April 14. A dinner theater option is available April 13 with dinner served 6-7 p.m.
Tickets will be available at the door and can be purchased in advance via the school website at www.whitehallcoplay.org.
