Northampton Area School District News
The Northampton Area High School Theater Company presents the musical "Seussical" April 11-14 in the high school auditorium.
Performances begin at 7 p.m. except for the April 14 performance, set for 2 p.m. Tickets are available online or at the door.
School board meeting: The school board meets Mondays, April 8 and 22, at the district offices on Laubach Avenue. Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.
All meetings are open to the public and the community is encouraged to attend.
PTA Meetings: Upcoming PTA meetings: The Moore and Lehigh PTAs will both meet Monday, April 8, at their respective schools. The Moore group meets at 9 a.m. and Lehigh at 6:30 p.m.
The Borough Elementary has scheduled its next meeting for 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at the Siegfried building.
Marking period ends: It's hard to believe it but the third marking period ends today, Thursday, April 4. Report cards will be sent home soon.
Vo-tech Car and Bike Show: Bethlehem Area Vocational Technical School is sponsoring its second annual car and bike show 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at 3300 Chester Ave., Bethlehem.
Registration is from 9 to 11 a.m. A yard sale will take place 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with plenty of food, a craft fair and a Chinese basket auction.
There is a vehicle entry fee.
The rain date is Sunday, April 14.

Bus trip: Northampton PAGE (Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education) is sponsoring a bus trip May 11 to New York City to the Tenement Museum and 911 Memorial.
The bus departs at 7 a.m. from the Northampton Area High School and returns at 7 p.m.
Ticket price includes bus transportation, two tours at the Tenement Museum and admission to the 911 Memorial.
At the Tenement Museum, visitors can take an outdoor walking tour of the lower east side of New York and one of two indoor tours.

Spring Fling Competition: The high school students are currently holding a drive to collect spare change, which can be given to class representatives.
Proceeds will benefit Angel 34. The class representatives who collect the most spare change will be crowned at the upcoming Spring Fling.
