The Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley has named Michele Connelly as its executive director, announced Judith A. Savchak, chair of the board of directors.

Former interim director Elizabeth Scofield was named managing director and continues on the board of directors.

Connelly, a Greater Lehigh Valley native and graduate of Kutztown University, has more than 20 years in non-profit administration, most recently as foundation and corporate relations director at the Cancer Support Community.

Previously, she was executive director of Slate Belt Communities That Care of Bangor and director of development at Pinebrook Family Services of Allentown. She is also a founding member and board member of Families First of Pen Argyl.
