DUI
Glen Martin, 33, of Hellertown, was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI on Interstate 78 at exit 60, Upper Saucon Township, 3:21 a.m. Feb. 9. Martin was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when his vehicle struck a guide rail and an exit 60 sign. Charges will be filed upon receipt of Martin's blood results.
Noel Gonzalez, 23, of Allentown, was arrested for DUI and drug possession on Interstate 78 at mile marker 55, Salisbury Township, 6:25 p.m. Feb. 9. Gonzalez was stopped for a traffic violation and was allegedly found to be under the influence and in possession of two ounces of marijuana. The investigation is ongoing.
Alexander Riepensell, 19, of Allentown, was arrested for DUI on James Street at Winfield Street, Upper Milford Township, 3:44 a.m. Feb. 10. Riepensell was stopped for multiple traffic violations and was allegedly found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.
Megan Eckley, 27, of Gilbertsville, was arrested for DUI on Interstate 78 at Exit 60, Upper Saucon Township, 11:14 p.m. Feb. 10. Eckley was stopped for multiple traffic violations and was allegedly found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.
Drug possession
Roselio Polanco Jr., 32, of New York, N.Y., was arrested for drug possession with intent to deliver on Interstate 78 westbound at mile marker 62, Upper Saucon Township, 2:05 p.m. Jan. 29. Polanco was stopped for a traffic violation and officers said they smelled a strong odor of marijuana. After consent was obtained to search the vehicle, officers allegedly found one pound of hydro marijuana. The investigation is ongoing.
Beatriz Aguiar, 27, of West Covina, Calif., was stopped for a traffic violation and allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Aguiar also had an outstanding warrant from Florida. She was stopped on Interstate 78 westbound at Summit Lawn, Salisbury Township, 3:57 a.m. Feb. 8. Aguiar was transported to Lehigh County Central Booking for arraignment and pending extradition to Florida.
Simple assault
William Duval, 51, of East Greenville, was accused of simple assault in the 3400 block of Dillingersville Road, Lower Milford Township, 3:50 a.m. Feb. 13. Duval allegedly struck the victim in the face during an argument. Duval was taken to Lehigh County Prison for arraignment. This incident is pending court proceedings.
Harassment
A 50-year-old male, of Alburtis, allegedly threatened an employee and refused to leave McDonald's, 6479 Village Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 12:56 p.m. Jan. 31.
Brian Czarnecki, 41, of Coopersburg, was charged with harassment in the 7600 block of Victoria Lane, Lower Milford Township, 11:53 p.m. Feb. 6. Czarnecki allegedly physically harassed the victim during an argument. The investigation is ongoing.
Retail theft
Juan Collazo, of Allentown, and a 14-year-old male, of Allentown, were charged with retail theft at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:36 p.m. Jan. 12. The actors allegedly attempted to steal several items before leaving the store. This incident is pending court proceedings.
Nitzo Morales Velazquez, 19, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Upper Milford Township, 3:48 p.m. Feb. 9. Morales Velazquez allegedly returned an item she did not previously purchase.
Theft
An unknown actor stole $260 from a cash register at The Limeport Inn, 1505 Limeport Pike, Lower Milford Township, between 12:01 a.m. and 10 p.m. Jan. 5. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft by deception
An unknown actor scammed a Lower Macungie resident Dec. 14, 2012. The victim, who owns an online company run through an outsourced corporation, was contacted by the actor who said he worked for the corporation. The actor told the victim he needed to pay a licensing fee to maintain his business. The victim sent $200 through Western Union but the funds were never submitted to the corporation.
Access device fraud
An unknown actor used a Lower Macungie resident's credit card to make eight separate purchases with a total value of $159.92 between Jan. 5 and 13.
An unknown actor used a Macungie resident's credit card at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Jan. 24. The actor purchased an unknown amount of items totaling $97.40.
