Assault

Michael Mason, 35, with no permanent address, was charged with simple assault and resisting arrest in the 00 block of W. Main Street, Macungie, 8:38 p.m. Feb. 8. Upon an officer's arrival, the lessee of the apartment told him Mason was inside speaking incoherently and refusing to leave. When the officer entered the apartment, Mason refused the officers directions. Mason then allegedly attacked the officer who utilized his Taser in order to subdue him and take him into custody. Mason was transported to Lehigh County Central Booking to await arraignment.
