Kemeter wins national title

Shawn Kemeter competed in the National Sporting Clays competition in San Antonio, TX at the end of October.

He won the title in the Sub Junior division with a four-day score of 266 out of 300, besting a field of 78 competitors. Kemeter also won the title as the highest overall first-time entry, topping a 299-shooter field.

Kemeter, 16, is a junior at Emmaus High School and has been shooting sporting clays for three years. He recently earned master class status, the highest attainable rank in the sport.

His resume also includes a 2012 Northeast Regional Sub Junior championship. He acheived that by winning the competition at a two-day event last May at M&M Sporting Clays in Pennsville, New Jersey.
