Lamin Sanneh, the D. Willis James Professor of Missions and World Christianity and professor of history at Yale University Divinity School, will speak at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21, Room 104, Kirby Hall of Civil Rights, Lafayette College, Easton.
Sanneh is regarded as one of the world's foremost experts on the growth and spread of Christianity in the 20th and 21st centuries.
The lecture inaugurates the Earl Pope Lectures in World Christianity series sponsored by Lafayette's Religious Studies Department. The late Earl A. Pope was Helen P. Manson Professor Emeritus of Bible at Lafayette.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
