School will be open Friday, Feb. 15, as a snow make up day.

Parents and students should make a note of this because the school calendar states that school is closed. All classes will be in session on that day.

School will be closed on Monday, Feb. 18, in observance of Presidents Day.

Dental van visit: The St. Luke's dental van will be coming to the Whitehall-Coplay Middle School on Friday, Feb. 8.

The van will be at the school all day to provide much needed services for the middle school students. Parents with questions should contact the school.

Kindergarten registration: Parents may now call the Gockley office at 610-433-7551 in order to schedule an appointment for kindergarten registration, set for April 9-12.

Students must be 5 years old by Sept. 1. More information will be given to parents at the time the appointment is scheduled.

School board meeting: The next Whitehall-Coplay School Board meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at the district offices.

The public is invited.

PTO meeting: Interested parents are invited to the next PTO meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 19.

The group will meet at 7 p.m. at the Gockley Elementary School.

McTeachers Night: Mark your calendars for another fun McTeachers Night to benefit Zephyr Elementary School.

Come join in for the "happiest meals" 5-8 p.m. Feb. 27 at 2137 McArthur Road, Whitehall.

Market Day: You can order online via the Market Day website, www.marketday.com. You can find the link and the February order form at www.whitehallcoplay.org. The Whitehall-Coplay PTO group number is 22383.

You can order online anytime before midnight Feb. 14 or return order forms to school by Feb. 13.

Pick up is 4:30-5:30 p.m. Feb. 20 in the middle school cafeteria.

Lunch accounts: Parents are encouraged to check their child's lunch account often to assure that funds are available to purchase lunches. Accounts can be checked online through the lunchbox account.

If you need an account set up, visit mySchoolBucks.com. If online access is not available, parents may call the cafeteria between 9:30 and 11 a.m. to check the balance.

Reminder: Parents are asked to keep the school office informed of any changes in address or phone numbers that may occur during the year.

If you move within the Whitehall-Coplay School District, you must provide a new proof of residence. Call the district office 610-439-1431 for the required documentation.
