Four 20-year-old men, eight teenagers cited by police for underage drinking

Twelve youths, between the ages of 15 and 20, were cited by State Police Troop M Fogelsville for underage drinking just after midnight Feb. 3 during a party at 4542 Senny Court, Weisenberg Township.

The home is owned by LeRoy Jr. and Louise A. Sorensen.

Police allege Christopher Ruch and Hunter Culp, both of Orefield; Daniel Kline of New Tripoli; Tanner Link of Slatington, all 20; Christopher Rice of Fogelsville, Brett Austin of Orefield, both 18; a 17-year-old boy from Kutztown, and two 17-year-old girls, one from Germansville; the other from New Tripoli; a 16-year-old Fogelsville girl; and a Germansville girl and Kutztown boy, both 15; all drank alcoholic beverages.

The 12 were cited for underage drinking through District Judge Michael Faulkner, Upper Macungie Township.

The Press spoke with the Sorensens on Feb. 6.

They issued the following statement: "We regret this unfortunate incident," LeRoy Sorensen told The Press. "We do not approve of underage drinking and have never supplied alcohol to anyone underage, nor would we."
