Schools will be closed Friday, Feb. 15, for an in-service day for teachers and staff.

Please note, however, schools will be open Monday, Feb. 18.

This date was originally on the school calendar as a day off, but now is an instructional make-up day for students.

Report cards: Today, Thursday, Feb. 7, elementary students will be receiving their report cards for the second marking period.

Parents should be sure to discuss with their child the information on the report cards and contact teachers if they have any questions or concerns.

PTAs: The district's PTAs will be meeting this month and invite you to join them.

The Borough Elementary PTA has scheduled its next meeting for 7 p.m. Feb. 12.

The middle school PTA will meet 6 p.m. Feb. 13.

The NASD PTA Council meeting is tonight, Thursday, Feb. 7, starting at 7 p.m.

Kindergarten registration: Students who will be attending George Wolf, Lehigh and Moore for kindergarten next year are invited to register 1:45-6 p.m. Feb. 12.

On the same date, the Borough Elementary School will hold registration for those with last names beginning with A-L. For those whose last names begin with M-Z, registration will take place 2-6 p.m. Feb. 13.

School board meeting: The public is invited to the next school board meeting, set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11.

Odyssey of the Mind: A dress rehearsal is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. tonight at Northampton Borough's Siegfried Building.
