Old Zionsville United Church of Christ will host all-you-can-eat breakfast buffets Feb. 16 and March 16. The church is located at 5981 Fountain Road, Old Zionsville. The breakfasts and bake sale will run 7 to 11 a.m. There will be a cost for guests six and over for breakfast. The public is welcome. For information, call 610-966-5115.

Ash Wednesday, starting the season of Lent, is Feb. 13, and most local churches will have services that day or evening. At the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, there will be a 7 a.m. morning worship, a noon worship and a 7 p.m. evening worship with the adult choir. There will be weekly Lenten worship services at Holy Spirit 7 p.m. every Wednesday, Feb. 20 through March 20.

Community Lenten services will be held at participating area churches on Thursday evenings, with a soup dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the service at 7:30 p.m. The first service is at Vera Cruz ECC Feb. 21, followed by Salem United Methodist Feb. 28, Upper Milford Mennonite March 7, Zion's Lutheran March 14 and Hosensack ECC March 21.

Good Friday services will be held 1 p.m. March 29 Old Zionsville UCC and 7 p.m. at Upper Milford Mennonite.

St. Peter's Union Church is participating with Huff's Church in Lenten services. The February services will be held at Huff's 7:30 p.m. Feb. 20 and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 27 St. Peter's.

The Upper Milford Township supervisors will meet Feb. 7 and 21. The supervisors have scheduled several hearings for the Feb. 7 meeting.

One of the hearings will simply correct typographical errors and make other minor changes in the township zoning ordinance. Another is on the adoption of a stormwater management ordinance for the Little Lehigh Creek and a third is on the adoption of a stormwater management ordinance for the headwaters of Saucon Creek.

At their year-end meeting in December 2012, the supervisors adopted a budget for 2013 with no real estate tax increase. Details of the budget are on the township website.

The Upper Milford Township Zoning Hearing Board will meet 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11 to hear the appeal of Shaun and Heather Froshour, of Geissinger Road.

The Upper Milford Western District Fire Co. #1 Ladies Auxiliary meets 7 p.m. March 5 at the firehouse.

The Vera Cruz senior citizens will meet 1 p.m. Feb. 7 and 21.

The Upper Milford Recreation Commission meets 7:30 p.m. Feb. 20.

The Emmaus-Upper Milford Joint Advisory Council will meet 7:30 p.m. Feb. 25 in Emmaus.

The Lower Milford Historical Commission will meet 7:30 p.m. Feb. 12. The Planning Commission will meet 7:30 p.m. March 4. The Recreation and Open Space Board will meet 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13.

Lower Milford Township Fire Company is having its pork and sauerkraut dinner Thursday, Feb. 14 and its spaghetti dinner Thursday, Feb. 28. Both run 4:30 to 7 p.m. or until sold out. Eat in or take out.
