DUI

Scott Davis Jr., 29, of Emmaus, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on Pennsylvania Avenue at South 10th Street, Emmaus, 11:30 p.m. Jan. 25. Davis was stopped for an equipment violation and was allegedly found to be impaired. The incident is pending court proceedings.

Harassment

An unknown actor called a Lower Macungie resident multiple times in the early hours of the morning between Jan. 18 and 20.

A 92-year-old male allegedly hit a 57-year-old female with his walker and slapped her in the face in the 1300 block of Mashie Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 1:48 p.m. Jan. 21.

Criminal mischief

An unknown actor smashed the rear window of a vehicle in the 4300 block of Clear Way, Lower Macungie Township, between 10 p.m. Jan. 29 and 6 a.m. Jan. 30.

False alarm

Famous Footwear, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Macungie, was cited for allowing a fourth false alarm in a consecutive 12-month period.

Theft

An unknown actor stole two white iPads from The Hillside School, 2697 Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 8 and 9 p.m. Oct. 25, 2012.

An unknown actor stole several pieces of jewelry from a residence in the 5800 block of Schantz Road, Upper Milford Township, between Dec. 21, 2012, and Jan. 12.

Theft by deception

A Macungie resident received a letter in the mail to be paid as a secret shopper noon Jan. 7. The company, Survey America, sent a check to the victim for the first assignment and it was determined to be a bad check. This is a Western Union scam that consists of sending a predetermined amount of money to the company while the victim evaluates the efficiency of the payment system.

Theft from a motor vehicle

An unknown actor smashed windows to gain entry to two vehicles in the 5100 block of Jarrett Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 11 p.m. Jan. 14 and 6 a.m. Jan. 15. The actor stole a GPS unit, a flashlight, health insurance cards, $20, vehicle registration and insurance cards.

An unknown actor entered an unlocked vehicle parked on Rolling Meadow Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 11:30 p.m. Jan. 16 and 7:30 a.m. Jan. 17. Nothing was reported stolen.

An unknown actor rummaged around an unlocked vehicle parked on Cold Spring Road, Lower Macungie Township, Jan. 20. Nothing was reported stolen.

An unknown actor entered five unlocked vehicles in the area of the Ancient Oaks Development, Lower Macungie Township, between 10 p.m. Jan. 23 and 8 a.m. Jan. 24. The actor searched the vehicles for money and loose change.

An unknown actor entered an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in a driveway in the 1400 block of Walnut Street, Lower Macungie Township, between 8 p.m. Jan. 24 and 8:30 a.m. Jan. 25. Nothing was reported stolen from the vehicle.

Theft of a motor vehicle

An unknown actor stole a grey 2010 Toyota Camry from a driveway in the 2000 block of Rolling Meadow Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 8 p.m. Jan. 16 and 7:15 a.m. Jan. 17. The vehicle was unlocked with the keys in the ignition at the time of the theft.

An unknown actor stole a 2002 Isuzu Trooper from a driveway in the 1200 block of Butternut Lane, Lower Macungie Township, between 7 p.m. Jan. 23 and 7:15 a.m. Jan. 24. The vehicle was unlocked with the keys inside at the time of the theft.

Forgery

An unknown actor obtained a fraudulent check with a Macungie resident's name on it between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Jan. 22. The actor cashed the check using the victim's bank account. The investigation is ongoing.
