Heard around our house: Matt was driving one day when Benjamin asked him to turn off the radio. He then said, "Let's talk about what's on our minds." My husband, who is usually never at a loss for words, was suddenly tongue-tied. So they ended up talking about their favorite superheroes.
Another day Benjamin was cleaning up in the basement. He came up and gave a report, "I picked up the toys, the dance mat, the tapes for the PS2, the steering wheel and the foot pedals."
Matt said, "Wait, we don't have a steering wheel and foot pedals for the PS2." Benjamin replied, "No, but we could get them."
The next column will be published Wednesday, Mar. 6; copy deadline is Thursday, Feb. 28.
