Driver trapped
inside vehicle
Upper Macungie Township Police say Nick Foster of Breinigsville was trapped in his vehicle at 3:01 a.m. Jan. 19 after it went off the road and struck a pole along Route 222 between Cetronia Road and Route 100, Upper Macungie Township.
He was freed by Upper Macungie firefighters and then transported to a local hospital, police say.
Police seek
information
A homeowner reported to Upper Macungie Township police a white man, in his late teens, 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt entered an open garage door in the 800 block of Rebecca Lane, Upper Macungie Township.
The man fled north on foot when the homeowner arrived.

Police officers
assaulted at call
Upper Macungie Township police say a combative 21-year-old man assaulted two officers at 2:14 p. m. Jan. 23 at 393 Natalie Drive, Upper Macungie Township.
The man was placed in custody with the aid of additional officers who responded to assist.
Police say the man was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment.
Charges for two counts of aggravated assault on police officers, resisting arrest and related charges have been prepared. Once they are filed, the man will be named in the complaint, police say.
2-vehicle crash
along Mill Road
There was a two-vehicle crash 11:59 a.m. Jan. 24 on Mill Road at Ambassador Drive, Upper Macungie Township, police say.
According to police, Sergey Vitavskiy of Wau-kesha, Wis., was westbound on Ambassador, when he allegedly failed to stop at a posted stop sign.
His vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by William Whitney Jr., of New Tripoli.
The intersection was partially closed for approximately one hour, police say.
Whitney was transported to a local hospital for injuries to his lower body.
Vitavskiy was cited for a stop sign violation and equipment violations, police say.
Police ask for
information
Upper Macungie Township police were dispatched at 5:37 p.m. Jan. 23 for a report of a man with a gun at the Lehigh Motor Inn, 5828 Memorial Road, Upper Macungie Township.
Officers were told by staff that two men entered the motor inn's office and one allegedly displayed a black handgun, police say.
According to police, the two men were then startled and fled on foot.
Upper Macungie and South Whitehall Township police checked the area for the men.
The first man is described as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall, dressed all in black clothing with a hood pulled over his head.
The second man, who allegedly displayed the handgun, is described as 6 feet tall, also wearing all black clothing with a hood over his head and a mask covering his face.
