Police say driver

under the influence

According to a report received Jan. 17, State Police Troop M Bethlehem allege Nicholas David Moore, 21, of Slatington, was involved in a hit-and-run crash 2:53 a.m. Dec. 22, 2012, at 3712 Eagle Road, Washington Township.

Police say an investigation revealed Moore was allegedly under the influence.

Juvenile charged

with harassment

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say a 16-year-old girl hit a 14-year-old boy in the head 2:05 p.m. Jan. 21 inside a classroom at Lehigh Learning and Adjustment Center, 2936 Corporate Court, Lowhill Township.

Harassment charges were filed, police say.

Police seek info

on incident

The rear windshield on a vehicle, parked in the 4100 block of Friedens Road, Washington Township, was smashed with a rock sometime between 10 p.m. Dec. 30, 2012, and noon the next day, State Police Troop M Bethlehem say.

Damage is estimated at $250.

Police say student

shared medication

According to a police report received Jan. 23, State Police Troop M Bethlehem allege a 14-year-old male student gave a fellow student his prescription medication 8:30 a.m. Dec. 4, 2012, in Northwestern High School, 6493 Route 309, Heidelberg Township.

This incident remains under investigation, police say.

Bowl smashed

in driveway, road

A 20-year-old man reported to police a glass bowl filled with nails and thumb tacks was thrown out a vehicle at 5:10 p.m. Jan. 28, and smashed in his driveway and on the road along Old Route 22, Weisenberg Township, State Police Troop M Fogelsville, say.

Jeep rolls over

in Heidelberg crash

State Police Troop M Bethlehem say David M. Kester, 21, of Germansville, was driving a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee around 1 a.m. Jan. 19 when he turned north onto Bake Oven Road from Buckery Road and took the turn too wide.

Police say the passenger side of the vehicle left the east side of the roadway.

Kester attempted to realign his vehicle but due to a drop off in the ground, the Jeep rolled onto its passenger side and came to a final rest off the roadway, police say.

Kester, who police say was wearing his seat belt, exited the Jeep with minor injuries, with the help of Germansville firefighters, police say.

Police allege Kester displayed signs of alcohol comsumption and failed several field sobriety tests at the scene.

Kester was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to the Lehigh County DUI Processing Center, police say.

He was also charged with a traffic violation.

Northwestern Ambulance Corps assisted at the scene.

Police looking for

hit-and-run vehicle

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say William H. Newman, 7000 block of Kings Highway, Lynn Township, reported a northbound, brown-colored vehicle struck the iron fence surrounding his property at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 25.

Police say, the vehicle, which should have moderate front end damage, fled south on Behler Road.

A piece of the vehicle recovered at the scene was identified as belonging to a 1990s Volkwagen GTI, police say.

Anyone with information about this hit and run is asked to call state police at 610-395-1438.

Man's hand bruised in Washington Twp.

State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Karen Maree Roberts, 31, of Slatington, allegedly struck a 51-year-old man on the hand at 3:25 p.m. Jan. 9 at 7437 Christmas Lane, Washington Township.

Police say the man's hand had redness and bruising.

Van stolen from lot

in Lowhill Township

Lisa Marie Hummel of Allentown reported to police her 2004 Mercury Monterey gray van with license plate HTN2271 was stolen between 9:30 p.m. Jan 28 and 10 a.m. the next day from the parking lot at Leather Corner Post, 6558 Horseshoe Road, Lowhill Township, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.
