Although Catholic Schools Week is winding down, Good Shepherd Catholic School, Northampton, and Saint Elizabeth Regional School, Fullerton, still have several events on tap.

At Good Shepherd on Newport Avenue, events for today, Thursday, Jan. 31, include a lunch where students, parents and grandparents enjoy a meal and a bake sale to benefit the sixth-grade trip to Medieval Times. The students will also make cards for homebound parishioners and "thank you" cards for the pastors.

On Friday, Good Shepherd students will attend a Mass at Queenship of Mary Church. Bishop John O. Barres of the Diocese of Allentown will be the celebrant. The event will include a presentation of the Mission Banner, dedication of "Our Lambs for Sheep" project, and conclude with a teachers luncheon and noon dismissal. Family Bingo will be held Saturday evening beginning at 6:30 p.m.

At St. Elizabeth Regional School, Pershing Boulevard, today is billed as Team Jersey Day. Fourth-grade students also will have career day. A student gym show and volleyball games will be held in the parish hall as well.

Friday is Crazy Hat, Tie and Sock Day St. Elizabeth's. A prayer partner activity will be held for all students. Dismissal will be at noon.

Catholic Schools Week at St. Elizabeth's began Saturday. Parents spoke during the Masses after which the St. Elizabeth School Board held a spaghetti dinner that was open to the public. An open house took place on Sunday.

Other events during the week at St. Elizabeth Regional School included Bible character dress-up, VIP bingo sponsored by the student council, teacher swap, spirit dress-down day, a science activity, personal narrative presentations and Olympics, a mystery reader, a "24" tournament, social studies and family tree presentations, a spelling bee, animal reports and hobby day.

At Good Shepherd Catholic School, programs held during the week included a pep rally, a movie at the Roxy Theater, volleyball games, a presentation by the Lehigh Valley Zoo, talent show, dress-down day, 1950s sock hop and a prayer partner activity.
