Lehigh Valley Christian High School has had an outstanding start to the new year.
Both students and teachers are working to wrap up the semester and begin the next.
This past week students have been studying and reviewing for midterm exams happening this week.
Along with the busy schedule that midterms bring, a large number of students here at LVCHS are also involved in basketball, winter conditioning, cheerleading and drama. The programs here at LVCHS allow students to not only succeed academically but also in all extra-curricular activities.

The girl's basketball team had a recent victory over Quakertown Christian with a final score of 39 to 19.
Last Friday both the boys and the girls played against Coventry Christian School, and the evening included a free pizza night for the eighth-graders from our sending schools.
More home games are scheduled for early February against Pius X (Feb. 4), Upper Bucks Christian (Feb. 5) and Notre Dame East Stroudsburg (Feb. 8).
The girls and boys basketball championship games of the Christian Athletic Middle School Association will be held at LVCHS Saturday, Feb. 9.

The academic quiz team has recently been added as an extra-curricular activity.
This program is run by one of our history and Bible teachers, Miss Chen. She works to prepare the students to answer the random and difficult questions that would be asked in a competition.

The drama team is preparing to perform "Annie" in April. Director Robin Leisher is doing a great job in getting the students prepared to perform.

Several of our science classes recently took a field trip to the "Bodies Revealed" exhibit at the DaVinci Science Center.
Our AP chemistry class was invited to Lafayette College to participate in a lab demonstration there this month as well.
Our choir also took a field trip to hear Bach performed during lunchtime in Bethlehem.

A special chapel planned in observance of National Sanctity of Human Live week had to be postponed until April 10 due to the recent snow storm.
Our school is hosting a display on this topic.

The week of Jan. 28 is National School Choice Week.
This celebrates one of our great American freedoms, the freedom to choose how to educate our children.
We continue to urge the people of Pennsylvania to support school choice and allow parents to decide where to apply their educational tax dollars.
