Lower Macungie Middle School ski club students will take a ski trip 2:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Emmaus High School will hold midterm exams throughout the day.

Eyer Middle School will hold their Rock-a-thon 7:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. Jan. 19. Students will decorate a rocking chair and rock through the night to raise money for Justin's Beach House, a nonprofit in Bethany Beach, Del., organized to give cancer patients and their families a place of respite to experience the joy and peace of the beach.

Lower Macungie Middle School will hold a spelling bee at the school.

Willow Lane Elementary School will hold their Read-a-thon kickoff at the school.

Lower Macungie Middle School will hold eighth grade activity night 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the school.

East Penn Schools will be closed in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Alburtis Elementary School will hold a skating party 5 to 8 p.m. at RollerMotion, 1609 Trexlertown Road, Macungie.

Jan. 22

Today is the last day of the second marking period in the East Penn School District.
