SUV hits barn

in Weisenberg Twp.

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Phoebe A. Zissa, 47, of Allentown, was driving a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo eastbound on Old Route 22, near New Smithville Road, Weisenberg Township, around 12:20 p.m. Dec. 29, 2012, when she apparently lost control of the vehicle on the snow-covered road, which crossed into the westbound lane, hit a barn and came to final rest inside the barn, facing east.

Zissa, who police say was wearing her seat belt, sustained a minor injury, police say.

Vehicle overturns

Michael Dancona Sr., 56, of New Tripoli, was driving a 2001 Honda Civic at 5:27 a.m. Jan. 5 north on Route 863, just south of Werleys Corner Road, Weisenberg Township, when he apparently lost control of the car due to a large snow drift in the roadway, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.

Upon hitting the snowbank, the car began to overturn and struck a utility pole before coming to rest on its roof in the northbound lane.

Dancona, who was wearing his seat belt, sustained a minor injury, police say.

Fraudulent credit card

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say a 51-year-old man from 10,000 block of Ziegels Church Road, Weisenberg Township, reported his personal information was used between 8 a.m. Dec. 14, 2012 and 4 p.m. Jan. 4 to open a credit card account without his permission.

This incident remains under investigation, police say.

Car hits wall,

lands in creek

Devin M. Metzger, 20, of New Tripoli, was driving a 2006 Subaru Impreza south on Old Mill Road, north of Best Station Road, Washington Township, at 6:58 p.m. Dec. 21, 2012, when the car went off the west side of the roadway and struck a stone wall, State Police Troop M Bethlehem say.

The car then slid down an embankment into a creek and rolled onto its passenger side, police say.

Metzger, who was able to exit his vehicle prior to the arrival.of police, reportedly said he fell asleep.

He sustained a minor injury and was transported by Northwestern Ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was charged with careless driving, police say.
