The Salisbury Township Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the white or light-skinned Hispanic female found in a wooded area of Chestnut Hill Road, Salisbury Township, Dec. 27, 2012.

According to District Attorney Jim Martin, the woman was discovered around 9:40 a.m. along the side of the road, just south of the entrance to the Unami Fish and Game Protective Association Inc.

The police are asking for the identity of the indivdual(s) responsible for her death.

On Jan. 3, officers conducted a traffic checkpoint on Chestnut Hill Road in the area where the victim's body was found. They stopped motorists beginning at 9 a.m. and provided them with police department contact information.

They continue to seek any information (no matter how insignificant it might seem) from anyone who might assist them in determining the killer of "Jane Doe."

Contact Salisbury Township Police Department Sergeant Donald Sabo or Detective Kevin Kress at 610-797-1447 or call the Tipline at 610-402-2400.

They are working in cooperation with the Lehigh County Coroner, the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office and the Lehigh County Homicide Task Force in an effort to bring this investigation to a successful conclusion.
