Northwestern at Randy Zigarski Memorial Tournament
Northwestern placed fifth as a team in the Randy Zigarski Memorial Tournament held at Mt. Carmel.
Mike Ortiz (170 pounds) won his weight class and earned the Most Outstanding Wrestler award. Teammate Mitchell Evans (160) also took first place at the tournament.
The Tigers' Jarrett White (106) and Quinn Bernard (113) earned second-place honors, while Andrew Sorensen (152) finished third.
District 5's Chestnut Ridge won the team title as it crowned six individual champs.

Notre Dame (GP)-Northwestern
Notre Dame (Green Pond) won the final and deciding bout of the match by forfeit for a 37-32 victory.
The Tigers had 17-0 lead early and a 32-21 lead with four matches to go. The Crusaders took advantage of bonus points and a Dennis Atiyeh pin to pull out the win.
The Tigers' Jarrett White (120), Mitchell Evans (160) and Mike Ortiz (170) all scored pins for wins. Quentin Bernhard added a tech fall at 113.

Jarred Binder led the Tigers with 15 points and Ty Richardson added 10. Pat Barter scored a game-high 18 points for Hamburg.

Sarah Segan and Sara Jones combined for 35 of Northwestern's points in a 51-33 win over Palmerton.
Segan scored 17 points while guarding the Bombers top scorer Jade Farquhar. Jones put up a game-high 18 to push her career total to 965.
Trista Cunningham had eight points and eight rebounds for Northwestern (5-0 overall, 3-0 Colonial League) and Kaleen Suter pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.
